GETTING STARTED
Jeremiah 29:7 - Seek the welfare of the city to which I have sent you. (ESV)
In this photo, the CBCP team from Trinity Episcopal Church in Fort Wayne, IN, is listening to community leaders invited to the church for a “Site Visit” tour and conversation. That sounds simple enough. Yet convening community stakeholders this way can yield powerful results when churches seek to understand the needs of their neighbors.
YOUR SUCCESS
Teamwork
The activities and tools of CBCP work best when clergy and lay leadership establish a team to coordinate and communicate the overall effort.
We suggest a team with diverse representation of your Vestry/governing board, as well as existing ministries that regularly use your space and maintain your property.

REV. CANON MICHELLE WALKER – ST. PAUL’S, LAPORTE, IN
“We had a wonderful community meeting during our site visit, which immediately yielded the addition of a service organization, The La Porte Service League, using our properties as their home meeting location and storage (at no cost).
Soon after we also added a First Friday Concert series, now in its third season, and a paid space sharing agreement with a local non-profit.”
